FROM BRYCE WASTNEY – August has been a whirl wind month with Live In The lounge tour taking local youth worker and songwriter Luke Shaw and I all over the Top Of The South Island region playing a series of 12 intimate house concerts, church and bars surrounded by retro lamps, carpets and fairy lights!
Together we can officially say we raised $3300.00 in donations for the Children In War Rehabilitation Centre in Uganda. 6 children in the same region in Uganda now have sponsors for education & healthcare. Couldn’t come at a better time actually! Last week World Vision have informed us that record numbers of traumatised LRA victims have managed to escape the LRA strong hold and will be made to feel safe and loved in the new Rehab Centre.
Thanks to all the generous hosts, venues and churches who helped us with this mission! It has been nothing short of inspirational – and a lot of hard work! But worth it! If you would like to donate to the cause or have been considering sponsoring a child, Click HERE
A NOTE FROM ME – It has been such an incredible opportunity to work with friends Bryce, Luke & World Vision NZ to help make this tour happen, not only did I really enjoy the gigs I could get to but what an honour to be part of fundraising for such an incredible cause!
I eagerly wait to see the news releases of what progresses over there. If you would like to join me in keeping unto date click HERE
